Description

With sl_salty, players see a branded overlay UI whenever they are disconnected from or muted in SaltyChat. The overlay displays server branding, connection status, and quick-access buttons for Discord and TeamSpeak. It reacts automatically to the SaltyChat plugin state and optionally locks player controls while the overlay is active.

Features:

SaltyChat Overlay:

  • Dynamic Show/Hide: The overlay appears automatically when SaltyChat is disconnected or muted, and hides once the player reconnects.
  • Server Branding: Displays the server name, subtitle, and a status label in the overlay.
  • Quick Links: Clickable buttons for Discord and TeamSpeak that open the correct server link directly from the overlay.
  • Control Locking: Optionally disables all player controls while the overlay is active to prevent unintended actions.

Customization Options:

  • Server Branding: Set title, subtitle, and UI label in config/config.lua.
  • Social Links: Configure Discord and TeamSpeak addresses via SL.discord and SL.teamspeak.
  • Control Locking: Toggle whether player controls are disabled while the overlay is active via SL.disableControls.
  • UI Styling: Adapt colors and layout in html/assets/css/style.css or use the included color tool to recolor the entire UI.
